We want you. . .again!

So, in my last post at the beginning of the week I talked about our desire to get some more vendors for boy items. Well, if you read that and thought, "I wish they were asking for girl item vendors, because I make/sell something AMAZING", you're in luck!! :) We are also looking for small manufacturers and vendors that create unique clothing or accessories for girls. If you have something that you think we should see, please send pictures, or a link to pictures, to submittals@london-jack.com. We will get back to you in 5 business days (excluding holidays).

Speaking of holidays. . . Merry Christmas! I hope that you had a great Christmas day. My daughter just turned 2 in November, so this was the first Christmas where she was really engaged. The only thing she asked Santa for was a basketball, and she was thrilled when there was a basketball and hoop waiting for her this morning!

Wow...can you believe that Christmas is on Friday?! I can't! I am so excited, though. Christmas is such a beautiful time of year. Everything shines, and people are happy...it's magic! I hope that you have gotten your Christmas shopping done, and are able to relax and enjoy time with friends and family this week. While you have some time off (hopefully!) over the holidays, think about whether or not you have a product that would fit in with what London-Jack.com sells. We would really like to have some more boy items to feature. If you have a special product that you make or sell, we would love to hear about it and see it. A perfect mix of classic and contemporary

If you have been perusing the website, you may have noticed some sweet dresses, tunics, and skirts that I haven't had a chance to talk about yet. Now is the time! :) The Betsy dress, Ellen dress, Andrea dress, ruffle-wrap dress, and the smocked party dress are all super-cute. I especially think that the smocked party dress, which is in red corduroy with pink stitching, would make a cute holiday dress. However, the Betsy dress with it's red party dot fabric, and the Andrea dress (white dress with a red geometric print) would be unusual and adorable choices for Christmas as well. The dresses are $60 and range in size from 2-8. (make sure you check each individual dress for available sizes) The skirts we are offering are all wrap skirts. We have them in pink, camel, and red corduroy, as well as in denim. They would be great over tights and could take you all the way through spring and maybe even summer when it's not too hot. They are $37 and we offer sizes 2-8. Lastly are the tunic tops. Tunics are so fashionable and comfortable to boot! I know that moms are wearing tunics, so why not get your kids into them as well? We have a red geometric print tunic and a purple floral tunic and they are $33 each. Check the website for sizes.

Something for the Boys. . .

I hope that everyone is enjoying the new webstore! I think that it looks great and I am so glad you can all see pictures of what I have been telling you about. You should definitely check out the long-sleeved cotton t-shirts that we are offering for boys. If you have a boy who is a little trendy or likes to ham it up, these t-shirts would be perfect! You can find these easily on the website by clicking on “boys”, and then clicking on “tops”. Depending on the style you choose, we offer these from size 2T to 7. Prices range from $15 to $19. There is also a super-cute hoodie that you can find in the boys outerwear section. Right now we have this in sizes 6 and 7. I hope that you are able to get some Christmas shopping done and find the perfect gift for that little boy or girl in your life!

Dresses Anyone?

I just got a look at some adorable dresses that we will be offering starting this Saturday, December 5th at 8am CST. Not only are we featuring these on our blog this week, but also they will be a featured item on the website. The dresses are classically styled, but they are anything but ordinary. They are made of organic materials and there are a variety of styles to suit the mood and personality of any little girl. They range in size from 2T to 8. The prices start at $48 and vary based on style and size. There is one that has a wrap-around red top and a black and white Stewart plaid skirt that would be a perfect holiday dress.

The great thing about that one, though, is that it is not so “Christmas-ey” that it could only be worn one day. These dresses are versatile, and beautiful. I can’t encourage you enough to check them out this weekend at London-Jack.com’s grand opening!

Kimonos for Kids!

I think that these kimonos that we are going to be offering are so beautiful! The fabric choices are so pretty and luxurious! I can see the kimono look becoming a huge trend for kids. They are easy to put on for the parents, and comfortable for the kids. And just so unique! We will be offering these in four sizes for both boys and girls. I am already picturing my little girl in one with some leggings underneath. They can definitely be worn alone, as a swim cover-up, or even with jeans. Many of the patterns are Asian-inspired, and they all have a great attention to detail. The price will range from $28 to $49 depending on the size. Each kimono size covers two regular sizes; so you can definitely get a lot of wear from them. I always like something that is unique and beautiful, but a great deal at the same time.

Tutu Cute!

I have an almost 2 year old and I so want to get her in a tutu! Tutus are just plain adorable. I have seen little girls wearing them with tights, with jeans, for dance class…you name it. Heck, if I could wear a tutu, I would! At London-Jack.com we are going to be offering the sweetest handmade tutus. They come in blue, pink, yellow, green, and purple, and they are all made of tulle. Classic. They are approximately 12 inches long and the waistband stretches to fit from size 2T-8. They will retail for $14. Isn’t that amazing! Even though the size says the smallest it will fit is 2T, I would not hesitate to buy one for a baby to take pictures in. I have friends that have gotten infant pictures taken in tutus, and they are so cute. I really wish I had thought of it. And just think…they wouldn’t outgrow it in a month! Ponytail Holders and Clips. . .So cute!

Between now and the big webstore launch on December 5th, I’m going to be introducing some of the products we are going to be offering at London-Jack.com.
The first are some adorable clips and ponytail holders that are all handmade. If you are like me, then hair accessories for your little girls are a must. The moment my daughter’s hair was long enough to even consider putting a bow in it, I made it happen! We are going to be offering beautiful flower clips and ponytail holders. The clips are specifically alligator clips that are covered in ribbon and decorated with a felt or crocheted flower. There are a variety of colors and textures. Alligator clips are wonderful for all ages, but they work especially well for little girls who may not have enough hair to pull into a ponytail yet. The ribbon-covered clip helps hold the clip in place on fine or thin hair. The ponytail holders are covered bands with the flowers secured to them. They are really pretty and classic looking. The covered bands mean that they won’t catch and pull your little one’s hair. The attention to detail on these accessories is sure to impress. Something else that is sure to impress is the price. Welcome to London-Jack.com--cool clothes for cool kids! We are Paul & Ginger Cookson. We started London-Jack because we wanted to be able to showcase many of the smaller manufacturers of children’s clothing and accessories that have cool stuff but aren’t as widely known across the U.S. We have a very eclectic style, so we wanted to bring together items that are unique, for various reasons, and cannot be found in a typical department store.
